Deanna Person

Director of Public Relations, Denver Art Museum
Deanna Person received her B.S. from the University of Colorado-Boulder. She has managed the Museums public relations department since 1993, working with local, national and international media, and developing and implementing marketing plans for special exhibitions, programs and special events. She coordinated the Museums 1993 Centennial Celebration, including the kick-off weekend, and is currently working on projects for the Museums new building. Designed by renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, the Frederic C. Hamilton Building will open in the fall of 2006, becoming the first Libeskind-designed building completed in the United States.
Deanna is an active member of the Denver Womens Press Club, PRSA, the Denver Advertising Federation, the Convention and Visitors Bureau Marketing Advisory Committee, the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Communication Committee, the Downtown Denver Partnerships Marketing Committee, and a graduate of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerces 1997-98 Leadership Denver class. She currently serves as treasurer of the American Association of Museums' Public Relations and Marketing Committee.
Under her direction, the Denver Art Museum has won a Golden AMIE from the American Marketing Association, seven Gold Picks from the PRSA, and awards from the American Marketing Association and Denver Advertising Federation.
She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Denver, a long-time supporter of The Gathering Place and a member of Wellshire Presbyterian Church. Deannas other interests include travel, bicycling, skiing and attending cultural events.
