Liz Holzemer is a freelance writer, author, speaker and baseball-sized meningioma brain tumor survivor. She is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors as well as the Denver Woman’s Press Club and Colorado Authors’ League.
Liz is also the founder of Meningioma Mommas, www.meningiomamommas.org , a non-profit support group with a unique 24/7 online forum, which has over 2,000 national and international members. She has been profiled on the TODAY Show, Discovery Health Channel and numerous times on Denver’s NBC, ABC and CBS affiliates. Liz has also been featured in the Rocky Mountain News , Woman’s World, and in other print media. She is a past recipient of the Woman’s Day Annual “Women Who Inspire Us” Award and the 2006 Tim Gullikson Spirit Award.
Liz is donating a percentage of each sale of Curveball : When Life Throws You a Brain Tumor (already a Denver best-seller!) to meningioma specific research.
