Narrative Portraits Workshop

A year ago, DWPC member Corinne Brown took a one-day workshop from KC Willis that introduced her to a fabric craft based on photo transfer and collage. Something about it attracted her beyond the hands-on fun of cutting, pasting and sewing. She continued to explore the medium as it related to a new novel she’d been working on and created eight wall hangings to illustrate its characters. In November 2011, a local shop asked Corinne if she would consign a few of her Western-themed hangings for their holiday inventory. Six of them sold the first week. In all she has sold 14 and produced 4 special orders for family and friends.
